No. All data is encrypted in your browser before it's stored. We hold encrypted blobs — unreadable without your password. No insurer, employer, government agency, or Comma employee can access your gambling data.
How does venue detection work?
Comma matches ATM withdrawal merchant descriptions against 341 venue patterns — RSL clubs, casinos, pokies venues, TAB outlets, and more across 5 countries. These appear in amber (not red) because a venue withdrawal doesn't confirm gambling. You can dismiss any false positive on a per-venue basis.
Does this work outside Australia?
Yes — 5 countries with locale-specific venue patterns and benchmark data: Australia, United Kingdom, United States, New Zealand, and Canada.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The free tier requires no signup. Your data stays in your browser until you choose to create an account for encrypted cloud sync.
What if I'm helping someone else?
Comma can be used by anyone supporting someone who gambles — a partner, family member, or counsellor. The person's bank CSV provides the data. The encryption ensures only the people in the room can see it.
